March 02--The former Republican presidential candidate, the Duchess of York, the "Cake Boss," the "Queen of Southern Cuisine" are scheduled to appear at the International Home + Housewares show taking place Saturday through March 10 at McCormick Place.
Mitt Romney -- who announced in January that he will not run for president again in 2016 -- is scheduled to be the keynote speaker March 10 at the Industry Breakfast at the International Home + Housewares Show. Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, is set to appear Saturday and Sunday at the Home + Housewares Show to promote her Duchess Discoveries brand.
But for the most part, the convention will be heavy on celebrity chefs. Buddy Valastro ("Cake Boss") and Paula Deen ("Paula's Home Cooking") are set to take part in cooking demonstrations Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Other celebrity chefs scheduled for cooking demonstrations: Rick Bayless ("Mexico: One Plate at a Time"), Duff Goldman ("Ace of Cakes") and Chris Cosentino ("Top Chef Masters").
