BRIEF: Missing Lawndale man, 61, has been found safe

UPDATE: The Chicago Police Department said Saturday that a 61-year-old man who had been missing since Aug. 26 on the West Side has been found safe. No other details were available.

Police are asking for the public's help finding a man who may been in need of medical help and went missing three days ago from the city's Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

Lester Scott, 61, was last seen in the area of the 1900 block of South Komensky Avenue. He was wearing a blue shirt and blue pants, police said.

He is described as a black man with a medium complexion, gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
