Nov. 01--A Garfield Ridge man suffering from Dementia who was headed to Des Plaines who had been reported missing has been located.
John Hemmer, 81, left his home for a short trip to the 1600 block of River Road in Des Plaines around 1:30 p.m. Friday but has not yet returned, according to an alert from Chicago police issued Friday night.
He is described as 5-foot-9, 120 pounds with brown eyes, white hair and olive complexion. He was last seen driving a 2008 gray Nissan Altima two-door car with the Illinois license plate T168176.
He was wearing a satin Yankees jacket, white Hollister t-shirt with a blue bird on it, light-colored blue jeans and black cowboy boots.
Hemmer suffers from Dementia but knows his name and address, police said.
