BRIEF: Mike Olt out of Cubs' lineup

April 16--The Chicago Cubs are giving third baseman Mike Olt another day to rest his sore right hand as they conclude a three-game series Wednesday night against the Cincinnati Reds.

The Cubs hope that Olt's hand heals soon, but they are carrying 13 pitchers. With Thursday serving as a day off, they could add a position player if their bullpen is well rested.

Much of the scrutiny is on third base prospect Kris Bryant, who went 0-for-3 for Triple-A Iowa in a 3-2 loss at New Orleans. Meanwhile, Jonathan Herrera will make his fourth consecutive start at third base and Arismendy Alcantara starts at second despite his hitting woes.

Chris Coghlan worked out at second base before the game.

Here's the Cubs' lineup:

Fowler cf

Rizzo 1b

Soler rf

Montero c

Coghlan lf

Castro ss

Alcantara 2b

Wood p

Herrera 3b
