BRIEF: Miguel Montero, Cubs try to solve Chris Sale

July 11--Miguel Montero will get to start behind the plate for the second consecutive time with Jon Lester on the mound but also has the unenviable task of facing All-Star left-hander Chris Sale.

Montero and Anthony Rizzo are the two left-handed hitters in the Chicago Cubs' lineup Saturday against Sale and the Chicago White Sox. Neither have faced Sale during the regular season.

Montero is catching in place of David Ross, who usually starts with Lester on the mound but is recovering from concussion-like symptoms.

Montero actually is faring better against left-handed pitchers, batting .304 (7-for-23 with two home runs) compared to a .223 mark against right-handed pitchers.

Sale has limited left-handers to a .176 mark (9-for-51 with one double and 20 strikeouts).

Here's the Cubs' lineup:

Rizzo 1b

Bryant 3b

Soler rf

Denorfia lf
