BRIEF: Michael Jordan's sons face it: Crying meme not dying anytime soon

Jan. 25--Little did Michael Jordan's children know that when they watched their father give his Pro Basketball Hall of Fame induction speech in 2009, they literally had a front row seat for the birth of the Crying Michael Jordan meme.

In fact, Jeffrey, the oldest child, only set up his current Twitter account just six months before the ceremony.

So it's probably a surprise now -- and somewhat mystifying -- that a snapshot from dad's crowning moment from a championship-filled career is now used on social media to troll losers in big games.

Such was the case during and after Sunday's NFL conference championships, as fans superimposed Jordan's crying face on Tom Brady and Bill Belichick after their loss to the Broncos, and the Arizona Cardinals trolled their own team by tweeting a picture of Crying MJ.

"I see the crying meme of my Dad is here to stay for 2016," Marcus Jordan tweeted. Jeffrey retweeted his brother's message, and added weary-face and sobbing emojis.

No, guys, looks like Crying Jordan's not going anywhere, not that we've had anything to do with perpetuating such nonsense.
