June 01--The Mets took a 1-0 lead against the White Sox early Wednesday in the series finale at Citi Field.
James Loney walked, advanced on a sacrifice bunt and scored on Rene Rivera's RBI single up the middle for the lead against Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez.
The Sox had one hit against Mets right-hander Jacob deGrom in the first two innings.
After snapping a seven-game losing streak Tuesday night, the Sox were trying to win back-to-back games for the first time since May 22-23. They came back from a 4-0 deficit Tuesday to win 6-4.
"Those are some pretty good arms, and to be able to fight back and get the lead and nail it down (is big)," Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "The same guys who had a rough week last week come back in and nail it down for you, and that's how you start rebuilding that confidence to be able to go in and win games."
