BRIEF: Metra trains running late after Geneva gas leak

Feb. 24--Union Pacific West Line trains are running up to an hour late following a gas leak near Geneva.

Due to a gas leak, inbound and outbound trains may be operating 35 to 60 minutes behind schedule, according to a service advisory posted on Metra's website.

The site urged commuters to listen to platform announcements for the location and delay time of trains or refer to Rail-Time Tracker on metrarail.com for current delay times.

Initially, trains were being stopped in and out of Geneva.
