BRIEF: Metra reports delays on Union Pacific North Line

Oct. 31--Metra officials reported delays Friday morning on the Union Pacific North Line because of mechanical problems with a train.

A mechanical issue with a locomotive on train No. 314 touched off the delays, a Metra spokesman said. That train was stopped at the Wilmette station.

According to the Metra website, trains No. 314 and No. 316 will couple and run express to the Clybourn station. Metra asks commuters to check the website to find out when trains will begin to move.
