BRIEF: Melissa McCarthy dines with 'Gilmore Girls' star amid reboot filming

March 07--"Gilmore Girls" star Yanic Truesdale posted a picture Saturday with former co-star Melissa McCarthy but encouraged the show's fans not to "read anything into it."

"Scotch, great meal and catching up with my old friend @melissamccarthy, can't ask for more! Dont read anything into it guys," Truesdale posted on Instagram.

Truesdale, 45, is reprising his role as French concierge Michel Gerard in Netflix's "Gilmore Girls" reboot. Though show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said she would like McCarthy to return to play Sookie St. James in the four-part revival, McCarthy said last month on Twitter she was not invited back.

McCarthy, a Plainfield native, is starring in the Chicago-set film "The Boss," due out April 8, and the "Ghostbusters" reboot.

Filming is underway for the "Gilmore Girls" revival with Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and Matt Czuchry reprising their roles.
