BRIEF: Meet "GMA" meteorologist Ginger Zee's newborn son

Dec. 23--"Good Morning America" chief meterologist Ginger Zee introduced her newborn son on the ABC show Tuesday.

Zee, a former WMAQ-Ch. 5 meterologist, called in to the morning show from her hospital room while holding Adrian Benjamin, who was born Saturday in New York City. Zee said she expected to leave the hospital Tuesday.

"(Adrian's) doing really well. He's so alert ... He's eating and he's burping and throwing up and doing all the stuff he's supposed to do," Zee said. Her son weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces at birth.

Zee, 34, joked on "GMA" that her husband Ben Aaron has changed 90 percent of the diapers.

The couple wed in June 2014 in Michigan and announced a year later they were expecting their first child.

Zee, a Valparaiso University alumna, worked for WMAQ from 2006-11.
