BRIEF: McKenzie Chinn gets big fellowship

April 07--Chicago actor McKenzie Chinn is one of five fellowship recipients from the Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Visual and Performing Arts, it was announced on Tuesday.

The hefty award promises $50,000 a year for up to two years.

Chinn has performed in the past year at Victory Gardens Theater, Stage Left Theatre and Steppenwolf Garage, among others. She intends to use her fellowship money to make a low-budget film.

The Leonore Annenberg fellowships are administered by the University of Pennsylvania; the Theatre School of DePaul University nominated Chinn.
