March 27--An autopsy revealed Friday afternoon that a Maywood man who died Thursday night at Loyola University Hospital was shot multiple times.
William S. Stamps, 45, of the 1400 block of South 19th Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. at Loyola, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office, which also said Stamps was killed on the same block where he lived.
An autopsy Friday afternoon said Stamps died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
There was no immediate information about the shooting available from the Maywood Police Department.
