June 04--WASHINGTON -- In an effort to solve Washington left-hander Gio Gonzalez, the Chicago Cubs are starting a lineup that includes Matt Szczur and David Ross.
Szczur, who delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in Wednesday's 7-3 loss at Miami, will bat sixth. Ross will make his second consecutive start. Ross is batting only .182 against left-handers, but right-handed hitters are batting .304 against Gonzalez this season.
