BRIEF: Martin Lawrence coming to Chicago Theatre for stand-up set

May 02--Martin Lawrence is coming to the Chicago Theatre in June to perform a night of stand-up comedy, MSG Entertainment announced Monday.

Lawrence, known from HBO's "Def Comedy Jam," the films "Bad Boys" and "Big Momma's House," and, of course, his TV sitcom "Martin," will entertain a what is for now a one-night-only audience 8 p.m. on June 24.

Tickets for the performance go on sale 11 a.m. Friday and are available at thechicagotheatre.com and 800-745-3000. The Chicago Theatre is located at 175 N. State St.
