Nov. 19--They are who they are. The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire announced the cast of its upcoming production of Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein's drag musical comedy "La Cage Aux Folles" on Wednesday.
Gene Weygandt will play Albin, La Cage's star attraction, while David Hess will play his partner in life and work, Georges.
The production will also feature Brian Bohr as Georges' son Jean-Michel, Elizabeth Telford as his fianc頁nne, Joseph Anthony Byrd as Jacob, Susan Moniz as Jacqueline and Fred Zimmerman and Anne Gunn as Dindon and Marie Dindon, Anne's conservative parents.
The ensemble, many of whom play the nightclub's fiesty "cagelles," will feature J Tyler Whitmer, Jhardon DiShon Milton, Adam Estes, Jordan Fife, Clayton Cross, Raymond Interior, Jameson Cooper, Monique Haley, Emily Glick, Javier Ferreira, Zachary Gray, Jason Richards, Larry Adams and Liz Norton.
Joe Leonardo directs the production, Melissa Zaremba choreographs and Ryan Nelson is musical director.
"La Cage Aux Folles" begins performances at the Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire, on Jan. 28 and continues through March 22.
