Jan. 23--A 48-year-old man died Thursday after the vehicle he was working under fell on him in the Chicago Lawn neighborhod, officials said.
The accident happend at 1:15 p.m. on the 6600 block of South Homan Avenue, police said.
He was pronounced dead at 1:42 p.m. on the scene, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy conducted Friday determined that the man, Jeffrey Ellis, of the 3400 block of West 66th Place, died of blunt force trauma of the head and neck and his death was ruled an accident.
