BRIEF: Man, woman found fatally stabbed in Avondale home

April 01--A man and woman were found fatally stabbed in a home in the Avondale neighborhood Tuesday afternoon in what police believe may have been a murder-suicide incident.

At about 12:08 p.m., police were called to the 2800 block of North Maplewood Avenue on the Northwest Side to assist paramedics, said Officer Michael Sullivan, a Chicago police spokesman.

When they arrived, police found a man and woman dead of apparent stab wounds in what may be a domestic-related incident, Sullivan said. Police believe the incident was a murder-suicide.

The man and woman were between the ages of 45 and 50, Sullivan said.

According to a neighbor the man and woman were married.

No other details were immediately available.
