BRIEF: UPDATE: Missing man with dementia located

Nov. 09--A 69-year-old man who went missing on the South Side has been located, police said Monday afternoon.

Derrick Joyner is safe and has been reunited with his family, according to police.

Joyner was last seen Sunday in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side, according to an earlier alert from the Chicago Police Department.

Joyner has dementia and hallucinations and suffers from alcoholism and prescription pill addiction, according to the alert.

Joyner was receiving medical care at Bronzeville Park Skilled Nursing Living Center, at 3400 South Indiana Ave., but left without completing the treatment.
