Nov. 30--A man wielding a crossbow was barricaded inside a Rowland Heights house on Sunday, spurring the evacuation of nearby homes in the San Gabriel Valley.
Deputies from a special weapons team at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were called to the 18000 block of Mescal Street just before 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The man, suspected of assault with a deadly weapon, is believed to be the only person inside the home, according to the department. No further details were immediately available.
