BRIEF: Man with Alzheimer's missing from South Side

July 25--Chicago police are asking for the public's help in locating a 76-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease who has been missing since Friday.

Clyde Davenport was last seen near the area of 5700 S. Damen Ave. on Friday, police said.

Police said he suffers from Alzheimer's disease and frequents the area of 61st to 67th on Damen Avenue, police said.

He is described as a black man with a medium-brown complexion, about 5 feet 9 inches and weighing 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said Davenport walks with a shuffle and was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt, blue jeans and black gym shoes.

He does not have any identification or money with him, police said. If located, please call 911 or the Chicago Police Department Area South Detective Division SVU at 312-747-8274.
