May 03--A man who was fatally wounded early Saturday morning in the city's Lawndale neighborhood has been identified, officials said.
Shortly after 2 a.m., the victim was standing on the street in the 2200 block of South Kolin Avenue when someone walked up to him and shot him in the head, police said.
The victim, identified as Lamar Watson of the 2200 block of South Kirkland Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Watson was among 15 people who were shot since early Friday on the West and South sides.
