BRIEF: Man wanted for attempted abduction: police

Nov. 05--Police are on the lookout for a man who tried to abduct a girl on the Southwest Side on Tuesday.

He was in the 7900 block of South Talman Avenue when he grabbed the girl by the shoulder and pulled her backward, police said. She bit his hand and ran home, and the man went southbound on Talman.

The same man may also be wanted in a burglary that occurred in the 2600 block of West 79th Place on Wednesday.

He is described as a 5-foot-9 black man between the ages of 20 and 25 who weighs 150 to 160 lbs. He has brown eyes, black hair and a dragon tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing a black mask, a sleeveless down jacket with a black T-shirt underneath, black Nikes, red and black plaid underwear and baggy jeans.

He may be driving a gray four-door car with tinted windows and dirty rims.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 312-747-8380.
