BRIEF: Man suspected of stealing bike of boy with special needs in Burbank

Jan. 28--Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing the bike of a 13-year-old boy with special needs from a Burbank apartment complex garage, police said.

The man was reportedly caught on security footage stealing the bike, valued at $5,300, from a garage on the 4500 block of Clybourn Avenue, said Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

The three-wheel Berkel bike, which is gray and black, was manufactured specifically for the 13-year-old boy with special needs, Losacco said.

The suspect, described as a Caucasian or Hispanic man in his mid-30s, roughly 5 feet, 9 inches tall and roughly 170 pounds, also reportedly stole a sewing machine from a pick-up truck parked in the same complex.

He wore a black hooded jacket, a black and white beanie, and dark jeans.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Burbank Police Det. Aaron Kay at (818) 238-3210. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
