Nov. 14--A man suspected in two South Side bank robberies in October is believed to be behind another bank robbery Friday, according to police and FBI officials.
The latest robbery occurred at 10:45 a.m. at the Citibank branch at 2000 W. 79th St., on the city's South Side, according to Chicago police and FBI officials.
The man allegedly went into the bank and displayed a weapon to a bank teller and passed a note demanding cash, according to police. The man then fled in a gray van.
The suspect is also believed to have robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 8140 S. Ashland Ave. on Oct. 28, according to the FBI.
He is also suspected in an Oct. 18 robbery at the ABC Bank at 9443 S. Ashland Ave.
The suspect is described as a black man, with brown eyes and black hair. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and is between 25 and 30 years old.
In the Oct. 18 robbery he was wearing a black puffy vest, black long-sleeve shirt, faded black pants and a black skull cap with a brim.
