BRIEF: Man stabbed to death on Far South Side

June 07--A man was stabbed to death following a dispute in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood Monday morning, police said.

Police were called to the 11400 block of South Indiana Avenue about 7:55 a.m. and found a man with multiple stab wounds dead, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman.

The man was identified as Anthony Williams, 52, of the 11700 block of South Perry Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at 8:06 a.m. on the scene, according to the office.

A witness told police that the man had been fighting with another man, believed also to be in his 50s, when the other man stabbed the victim multiple times, then fled, Pacheco said.

No one was in custody. Area South detectives were investigating.
