Feb. 01--Gary police responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle Sunday night found a man inside with a fatal stab wound, authorities said.
About 9:25 p.m. officers went to the 200 block of Hobart Street to check out the vehicle; when they got there, they found the man in the back seat, according to Lt. Dawn Westerfield. He was declared dead at the scene.
The Lake County, Ind. coroner's office found that he had been stabbed, and ruled his death a homicide.
The man has not yet been identified.
