BRIEF: Man stabbed in West Rogers Park

Dec. 30--A 20-year-old man was stabbed during a robbery in the West Rogers Park neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

He was walking in the 6300 block of North Rockwell Avenue when someone approached and announced a robbery.

Police said a 'physical altercation' ensued and the 20-year-old was stabbed in the shoulder, neck and cut on his face.

He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where his condition had been stabilized. Authorities said he fled to a Dunkin Donuts on Western Avenue after getting stabbed.
