June 29--A 24-year-old man was hospitalized after being repeatedly stabbed in Lakeview late Sunday night, police said.
The man was in the 1000 block of West Belmont Avenue about 11 p.m. Sunday when a stranger approached him, stabbed him in the torso and shoulder and then fled, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The man later walked into Weiss Memorial Hospital where his condition was stabilized, Gaines said. Police did not have further details.
No one was in custody in connection with the stabbing as of early Monday morning, Gaines said.
