BRIEF: Man stabbed after getting off CTA bus on Northwest Side

Jan. 03--A man was stabbed in the neck on the Northwest Side after he got off of a CTA bus Friday evening, police said.

The man got off at a bus stop around 5 p.m. with the offender who then stabbed him while the two were on a sidewalk in the 2400 block of West North Avenue, police said.

The man, whose age was not available, was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where his condition stabilized, according to police.

No one is in custody, and no other information was available.
