Jan. 20--A 26-year-old man was shot to death in the South Shore neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The man was shot in the 7800 block of South Coles Avenue about 10:15 a.m. and taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
The man, identified as Derrick McIntyre of the 7800 block of Coles, was pronounced dead at 10:44 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Police arrested one person after a nearby foot chase but it's not yet clear if that's tied to the homicide.
