BRIEF: Man shot to death in Gary

April 02--A 29-year-old man died early Thursday after he was shot at his home in Gary.

Robert Armstead, of the 4400 block of Connecticut Street, was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Lake County Coroner's office.

Armstead was found in his home with a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Officials said Armstead was shot Wednesday, but further details surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
