Feb. 09--A 30-year-old man was shot and killed Monday morning on the West Side, police said.
Police received a call about the incident at 11:10 a.m., according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.
When they arrived at the scene in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood, they found the 30-year-old man with gunshot wound to his chest.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, Sedevic said.
No one is in custody, and Area North detectives are investigating.
No other details were immediately available.
