BRIEF: Man shot in Irving Park neighborhood robbery

Jan. 26--A 44-year-old man was shot during a robbery in the Irving Park neighborhood Monday morning, according to police.

He was wounded about 7:05 a.m. in the 3600 block of North Kedzie Avenue.

Police said two men approached, announced a robbery and then shot the man in the leg before fleeing. The two are not in custody.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center to be treated for the wound. His condition has been stabilized, police said.

It's not clear if the robbers fled with any of the man's property.
