July 14--A 21-year-old man was wounded Tuesday morning in a shooting on the Far South Side in the city's Roseland neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 10:45 a.m. in the 11400 block of South Prairie Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman, citing preliminary information.
The man told officers he was on a porch when someone approached on foot and fired in his direction, Estrada said.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
No one was in custody, and Area South detectives were investigating.
