June 26--A man's body was found Friday morning in the North Branch of the Chicago River, police said.
The Chicago Police Department's marine unit was called to the river near Irving Park Road and California Avenue about 10:40 a.m., said Officer Ana Pacheco, a department spokeswoman.
Someone found the man floating in the river, she said. Detectives were conducting a death investigation.
