BRIEF: Man robs West Side bank Tuesday morning

Oct. 29--Authorities are searching for a gunman who robbed a bank in Austin on the city's West Side Tuesday morning.

A man with a handgun entered a Chase bank in the 6600 block of West North Avenue about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chicago police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank, according to the FBI. He was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and a white painters mask, authorities said.
