Jan. 14--A man in his 20s robbed a Hyde Park bank Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
The Chase Bank branch at 1204 E. 53rd St. was robbed about 5:53 p.m., according to Special Agent Garrett Croon, a spokesman for the FBI in Chicago.
A man entered the bank on that block and announced a robbery, implying that he had a weapon, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman. The man fled with cash, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The robber was described as a black man in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-10, with black hair and a gray jacket.
