BRIEF: Surveillance photo of Albany Park bank robber released

Oct. 22--Officials on Thursday released a surveillance photo of a man who robbed an Albany Park bank Wednesday afternoon.

The Wintrust Bank branch at 4343 N. Elston Ave. was robbed about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to bandittrackerchicago.com, which released a photo of the robber Thursday.

A man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash, Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago police spokeswoman, said Wednesday. The man took cash from the teller and fled the bank, she said.

The robber was described as a black man 30 and 40 years old, 6 feet to 6-foot-2, with a thin build. He had yellow and black stains on his teeth. He was wearing a black hat and a blue shirt.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Chicago office of the FBI at 312-421-6700.
