April 25--A Bronzeville man was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail Sunday after prosecutors say he robbed another resident of an assisted living facility.
Larry Smith, 44, who lives at the Community Care Center, 4314 S. Wabash Ave., robbed one of the other people living there, prosecutors said. According to court documents, Smith forcefully took $40 from a 63-year-old man on Saturday.
Smith appeared in bond court at the Leighton Criminal Court Building Sunday where Judge Adam Bourgeois Jr. ordered him held.
Court documents did not give any details about how Smith committed the robbery.
His next court appearance is Friday.
