BRIEF: Man loses arm in work accident in Bridgeport

Feb. 24--A 40-year-old man lost his arm while mixing dough in a work accident Monday in Bridgeport.

The man was mixing flour to make dough as part of his job at Canton Noodle Company, at 481 W. 26th St., when his left arm got caught in the industrial mixer around 11:20 a.m. Monday, according to police.

The man's arm detached from his shoulder, police said. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

No other information was immediately available about the incident.
