June 19--A 20-year-old man was shot to death early Friday morning in northwest Indiana, authorities said.
Wayne Rushing Jr. suffered a gunshot wound to his body in the 1200 block of 170th Street in Hammond, according to a statement from the Lake County Coroner's office.
Officials were dispatched to the scene around 1 a.m., and Rushing, of the 200 block of 169th Street, was pronounced dead at 1 a.m., the statement said.
His death was ruled a homicide.
No other information about the shooting was immediately available.
