Feb. 07--The death of a 60-year-old pedestrian killed in Posen was ruled an accident, officials said Friday.
Vasilios Rodogiannis, of the 12600 block of South California Avenue in Blue Island, was pronounced dead at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Rodogiannis was walking when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle on the 14500 block of South Western Avenue in Posen, according to the office.
An autopsy determined that Rodogiannis died of cervical injuries, and his death was ruled an accident.
Posen police could not be reached for comment.
