July 06--A South Side man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday morning in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
John Perry, 27, was struck around 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Francisco Avenue on the West Side, authorities said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Perry lived in the 400 block of West 65th Place.
No description of the car was available.
