BRIEF: Man killed in Dolton shooting identified

Dec. 28--A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead Sunday after being shot in Dolton, according to officials.

Derrick James was shot multiple times on the 14400 block of South Ellis Avenue and was taken to Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

James, who lived on the block where he was shot, was pronounced dead at 4:17 p.m. An autopsy is slated for Monday, according to the office.

Dolton police officials would not comment on the shooting.
