Sept. 23--A 54-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash Tuesday evening near southwest suburban Peotone, authorities said.
William H. Heisner was driving a Toyota Prius near Route 45 and West Offner Road in Will County when a driver in a Lincoln Continental T-boned Heisner's car around 5:45 p.m., according to Illinois State Police and the Will County coroner's office.
Heisner, a Peotone resident, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at 7:05 p.m., according to the coroner's office. Officials scheduled an autopsy for Wednesday.
The driver of the Lincoln, whose age or gender was not immediately available, was taken to Silver Cross Hospital with minor injuries, said Illinois State Police Trooper Kyle Klingen.
No one else was injured.
Officials are still investigating the crash, and no other information was immediately available.
