June 21--A Wauconda man died in a single-car crash Saturday evening near northwest suburban McHenry.
Scott M. Madda, 52, was driving on Illinois Route 176 when he crashed east of Nish Road on the Fox River bridge around 7:40 p.m., according to a statement from the McHenry County coroner's office.
Madda was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy and toxicology testing are scheduled for Monday, according to the statement.
Route 176 was closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash.
The accident is still under investigation.
