May 09--A man jumped to his death downtown Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
The 34-year-old jumped from a parking garage on the 100 block of West Lake Street about 1:30 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police and fire officials remained at the scene more than an hour later, with nearby streets partially blocked.
