BRIEF: Man injured in West Side shooting

Nov. 20--A 35-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the South Austin neighborhood on Thursday night, Chicago police said.

He was in the 4800 block of West Monroe Street about 10:35 p.m. when he was shot in the foot and arm, said Officer Amina Greer, a police spokeswoman.

He refused medical treatment on the scene, and a friend took him to Stroger Hospital, Greer said. His condition was stabilized.
