Jan. 11--Some portions of a Houston-area hospital have been evacuated because of the behavior of a patient's distraught father, police said.
Earlier Saturday evening, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said it appeared a man was holding at least two people hostage at the Tomball Regional Medical Center.
Authorities now say the man is with his son in a hospital room in the critical care unit, but that he refuses to comply with their commands and is upset about his son's medical condition.
The High Risk Operations Unit of the sheriff's office had been dispatched to the scene in Tomball, a city about 30 miles outside Houston.
